shadow people red eyes

Are shadow people real? How do they look? What do they do? We live in a world filled with mysteries. Some of them, like the Loch Ness Monster or Bigfoot, are likely just urban legends. Others, like Elvis Presley and Tupac Shakur, have never been proven dead beyond the shadow of a doubt. But then there are those oddities that creep in where myth and reality collide, like shadowy figures that prowl on the outskirts of our vision. Welcome to the world of shadow people.

Some believe that shadow people are, quite simply, the dark angry ones. They’ve been around for as long as there have been people to be around. They are the ones who like to exist (or sometimes don’t) at the edges of our peripheral vision; they come in all shapes and sizes and levels of malevolence, from the vaguely malevolent to downright evil. But just because shadow people are real doesn’t mean that they represent actual human beings. Just like ghosts haunt houses and spirits roam graveyards, it is entirely possible that shadow people choose our own personal space as a means of existence.

There are two things that separate shadow people from other ghostly visionaries. The first is the way they interact with us. The second is their appearance or lack thereof.

To understand the difference between a shadow person and a ghost, we have to look at how each interacts with our world. When dealing with ghosts, it’s all about being able to see them and having things happen to them in front of us. If you can see a ghost, feel it touch you, hear it speaking or singing or giggling, then you’re dealing with something that can cross over from the paranormal world into ours. If you can’t see it or don’t feel it, then you’re dealing with something that exists in a different dimension. And that is why ghosts are able to interact with us. They exist in our world, but they don’t make the same demands as the traditional shadow people. The only other way to explain this is if we were thinking in terms of energy and not matter. Let me explain:

When we consider energy versus matter, only one type of energy is capable of interfering with matter. That energy is the energy of the mind, which is all made up of electromagnetic frequencies. Do you know how shadows are said to be “invisible” if we can’t see them? That’s because of the wavelengths of light that they are made up of. The same is true with shadows. They are invisible because we can’t see their base wavelength, which is just like our own thoughts and emotions floating around in the ether. However, when those thoughts and emotions begin to cause us to have an emotional reaction – such as fear, anger or elation – then we have a problem and our eyes focus on their corresponding light frequencies that bounce off them. This allows us to perceive them in a physical way.

So, what about shadow people? They are not like a ghost. In fact, they are the polar opposite of a ghost. The key to understanding them is that they don’t want us to be aware of them. This is why they float silently at the edge of our vision; this is why they often seem blurry and out of focus; this is why we don’t see them unless we have an emotional reaction to them; and this is why when we focus on one we can’t really tell what it looks like because our eyes are trained on only their frequencies, which renders them invisible. They exist but not in any way that allows us to perceive them in the normal human sense. They don’t want to be seen, so they must keep their wavelength away from ours.

There are two schools of thought when it comes to shadow people and the reasons they interact with us. The first can be summed up using an old saying: “You get more bees with honey than vinegar.” We don’t know what they want or why they are here, but what we do know is that the way to get the most out of them is to be nice and welcoming toward them (in our hearts, if not with our words). If we treat them as outright sinister then they will just go away and never come back – or worse, come back worse than before.

The other school of thought is much more practical: “Hurt people hurt people,” or perhaps “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” They are angry human beings filled with rage and hate for whatever reason, and they want to make us angry. We don’t know their motivations, but we do know that anger tends to draw anger out of others. So, if we can find a way to be peaceful in the face of their intrusiveness they will become less and less aggressive over time until they finally just disappear altogether. And you know what? That is a much better option than being nice to them.

Still, there is one major problem with both schools of thought. For one to work, we have to be able to see them. We have to acknowledge them. We have to be aware that they exist. And this is why many people have never experienced a shadow person because they don’t know it’s there or they ignore it completely.

The characteristics of shadow people are important because it can tell us where we might find other phenomena within the paranormal field. First, shadow people are almost always seen in a dark setting in your peripheral vision – the shadows between you and another light source, like the corner of a room or underneath a table at night. They appear fuzzy at the edges, as though you’re trying to see through a cotton ball. They are often seen in pairs or groups, and when they are visible enough for us to truly see them they usually look like human-shaped shadows. The only exception to this is when a shadow person begins to interact with you; then it will take the form of whatever frightens you most.

They do not speak. They do not touch or grab at us; we cannot feel them unless we are extremely frightened by their presence. They are more like a type of haunting, or even ghosts than they are like other human beings. They are the type of entity that you cannot make contact with or communicate with; you cannot talk to them, nor can they talk to you. Again, we can’t see them because they don’t want us to see them. Shadow people are the boogie men for adults only: they move silently and invisibly in the darkness between us and everything else. Their only purpose is to create panic in us so that we fear what we don’t understand, and then they leave us alone.

They usually appear completely black in appearance. However, there are many reports of red or orange  glowing eyes (shadow people red eyes). The scary thing about this is that shadow people do not have very well-defined facial features; instead of a solid black shadow, you will see an outline that looks like a human head and torso, the arms and legs are usually indistinct. They seem to be humanoid but not quite human. When they appear to interact with us, however, we see distinctly human features: eyes (the glowing red type), a mouth, nose, and ears. It’s almost as if the only reason we can see them at all when they interact with us is because our human minds try to make sense of what we are seeing.
