There are those who have reported encounters with them. But there is one thing for sure - no one knows for sure. We all know that the paranormal exists, however, we do not believe it. I mean who would want to live in a world where ghosts and shadow people exist? Paranormal activity is something that many of us avoid thinking about because it's so scary. There are various types of paranormal phenomena such as UFOs, ghosts, demons, and monsters. These things have been around for centuries yet they still manage to scare us even today. It seems like there is no end to these terrifying creatures!
A paranormal investigator named Isaac Koi from the University of Bristol in England said, "I was interested in the [shadow person] phenomena from a folkloristic viewpoint, but I soon realized that there were real people sincerely experiencing extraordinary things and that it was becoming increasingly clear to them that they were not alone. What fascinated me was how these experiences could be so life-changing and real yet remain outside mainstream science and rationality." Isaac's interest in this subject began when he saw the movie 'Rings', which is a horror movie based on a Japanese legend. After watching it, he decided to do his own research. He searched for any information about shadow people online and found various videos and images of them.
What is the paranormal? The paranormal is any phenomenon that cannot be explained scientifically. For example, if you are walking through the woods and a creature comes out of nowhere and chases you. That is paranormal activity. Not many people would believe you if they saw it for themselves. It would be very hard to explain it scientifically. Most paranormal researchers agree that the paranormal is real but cannot say for sure what it is. For example, the existence of ghosts is something that has been debated for years. No one knows with certainty whether ghosts are real. It is believed that they are the spirits of dead people but this has not been proven.
What are shadow people? Shadow people are humanoid beings with a dark shadowy outline and dark eyes. Their faces are usually expressionless or look very evil. Sometimes they appear to be wearing clothes, other times they don't. What do they look like? They vary in size from small to very tall and can appear almost anywhere (i.e., your bed during the night or in a dark room).
Where do they come from? Many people believe that shadow people are demons or evil spirits. They also believe that they are hallucinations because there is no one else who can see them. There are cases where people have seen them and then heard their cries or seen their bodies in different places later. They have even heard them speak although no one else can hear them or see them. Skeptics say that these encounters are hoaxes and they cannot be real because there is no evidence of these beings existing in the world.
Isaac Koi stated: "For about a decade, I've investigated ghost experiences and shadow people alongside a team of researchers at the University of Bristol, and what we've found is fascinating. However, it's still unclear whether shadow people exist in the sense that we can objectively measure them or photograph them. In the absence of this, many cases remain debatable."
They have also appeared in dreams, hovering over the bed or a person. They are thought of as omens for bad things about to happen. It is believed that they can possess a person and take over their body. When this happens, they take control of their life and change them forever.
Some say that shadow people are demons or evil spirits who are here on earth to do bad things to us. The shadow people can either be from another dimension or our own dimension but we cannot see them because they exist in "another state" (i.e., the paranormal). The shadow people are drawn to places where portals or cracks exist. They hide in these places and wait for someone to go by so they can jump out and scare them.
There are also reports of shadow people being able to travel into our dimension by using mirrors, television sets, or even the computer screen. Sometimes if you look into a mirror and want to see a demon, they can appear in it with scary faces or as a group of demons. Demons are evil forces that come from hell and torment us on earth. They use shadow people to do their bidding instead of coming themselves because they don't have bodies and cannot enter our world (they would just be darkness, which we cannot see).
